the frontman of remote control egypt is one of the most humble artists you can meet.  a total musician who composes, produces, plays, and sings.  a multi instrumentalist, pierre is proficient in all instruments with guitar being his first love.  none can say that his vocal ability is any less than that of the likes of michael jackson or daryl hall (of hall and oats fame).  at the heart of rce is pierre himself.  the rce sound is his.  influenced by earth, wind & fire, pierre incorporates the production style of maurice white. his string and orchestra arrangements are some of the best stuff heard on disc.  pierre has worked with the likes of emir deotato, dennis king (atlantic records), david cole (c&c music factory) and brenda russell.  pierre's former band, villaire, was signed to emi records by michael barackman and released "cheating heart" in 1987.  he has written jungles for tropicana, jeferey's, my hero restaurants, as well beaseley broadcasting.  remote control egypt is his passion.  a labor of love that has spanned 10 years.  each rce album takes up to three years to complete.  married to dawn marie hilaire, pierre is the father of five children, all of whom have been blessed with musical talent (his 9 year old, patrick, is heard on "bits n' pieces," on the upcoming "perfect blue" cd).   

Chris is the guitarist and contributes vocals, bass and drums on the band.'s cd's.  he shares vocals with pierre hilaire and contributes to production as co-producer.  chris plays drums on "beautiful day," a power pop ballad as well as on "bits n' pieces," a catchy pop dance tune.  both songs will be included in the "perfect blue" cd.   chris' contributions to rce span 10 years.  his collaborations with pierre have really produced some of rce's best material.  the 27 year old is a father of two.....mariah, and micah. he is married to barbie beck, who has been the band photographer for 10 years.

matt has been the drummer of rce for 7 years.  matt was asked to join rce when former drummer georges hilaire left.  matt's music career started with and will probably end with rce.  known as the "silent one," matt says very few things.  his ability to lock into a groove has made him famous among other musicians.  married for 15 years to christie, matt and his bride have been close friends of pierre for much of that time.
